Christmas in Davidson

Since 1988, Christmas in Davidson has been an annual tradition and the area’s most popular holiday celebration. Each evening from 6–9pm, you can wander through the charming town of Davidson and enjoy festive light displays, roaming performers, a live nativity, live music, delicious food, holiday shopping, and a variety of other unique attractions.
Huntersville Tree Lighting
December 5th | 6 –9 PM | Tree Lighting | Veterans Park
Festivites kick off with the tree lighting at 6:30pm. Enjoy a selection of artisan vendors, local food, and beverages – and don’t forget to visit Santa! Classic children’s rides and activities will also be available.
Breakfast with Santa
December 6th | 8:30 – 10:45 AM | Birkdale Village
Start your day with the most important meal shared with the most beloved guest of the season! All the good boys and girls are invited to join jolly Saint Nick and his merry elves for a festive breakfast in Birkdale Village. Red Rocks Café will host the event, serving a buffet-style meal. Tickets are required, and all proceeds will support Mission Christmas.
North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade
December 6th | 1 PM | Downtown Davidson
A cherished Lake Norman tradition for more than 40 years, the North Mecklenburg Holiday Parade is an event you won’t want to miss. The parade begins in Davidson and makes its way into Cornelius, featuring marching bands, dance groups, and festive floats overflowing with holiday spirit. Be sure to stay until the end for Santa’s showstopping finale!
Holidays in Huntersville

Enjoy a wide array of free activities, including children’s rides, artisan ice sculptures, stage performances by local groups, the Carolers of Christmas Past, glitter tattoos, face painting, balloon artists, roaming holiday characters, letters and photos with Santa, and so much more! Lake Norman Yacht Club Christmas Flotilla and Lights Parade
December 6th | 5 PM
The Keelboat Fleet is hosting the 15th annual Toys for Tots Holiday Flotilla. Powerboats and sailboats are welcome – so break out your lights and decorations for a chance to win 1st or 2nd place! After the parade, join the festivities at the clubhouse for a reception featuring light fare, drinks, and live music by Rearview Rock. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children over 12. Space is limited, so make sure to register!
